DANCE FOR LIFE 2020 AIMS TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING GOALS:

IMPROVE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF TEEN DEPRESSION AND SUICIDE, RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR REACHOUT, PROMOTE THE BRAND OF ALL SPONSORS AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS INVOLVED, CREATE A FUN AND ENJOYABLE SOCIAL FUNCTION

FOR THE SYDNEY A&D COMMUNITY

Dance for Life is an annual dance event/competition organised by Haworth with the following in mind:

The feedback we received from previous DFL events was overwhelmingly positive with the general theme being ”...the best industry event we have ever been to…” and we expect Dance for Life 2020 to be even bigger and better.

If your organisation would like to be associated with a key annual industry event, we would appreciate the chance to discuss the opportunities further with you.

  • Creating an entertaining and memorable event that will attract attention from within our target market – Architects
    and Designers.

  • Providing an enjoyable, challenging, and often hilarious bonding experience for the participants who make up our dance teams.

  • Leveraging exposure to raise awareness and much needed funds for Reach Out organization, an organization that works to assist teens and youth battling suicide and depression.

CONSIDER THIS.

1 IN 4 YOUNG AUSTRALIANS LIVE WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS. IN AN AVERAGE YEAR-12 CLASSROOM; 7 WILL HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH DIFFICULTY - BUT ONLY 2 WILL HAVE SOUGHT HELP, AT LEAST 1 WILL HAVE ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. 75% OF MENTAL ILLNESS BEGINS BEFORE 25 YEARS

Woods Bagot’s very own “Tony Basil Crew” are proud to have been involved in the Dance for Life 2012 fundraising event for the Reach Out foundation. The choreography sessions at Dance Central were a great team-bonding experience and a really fun way to de-stress after work! The team had it all covered and made everything so easy – all we had to worry about was coming up with the wackiest 80’s-inspired look we could think of!

It was great to see all the teams and their supporters make such a spectacular effort on the night! We are all looking forward to it, and definitely recommend this awesome event to everyone whether you think you can dance or not!

Dance For Life was one of the most fantastic corporate event & fundraising experiences I have ever been involved in.

The evening was organised superbly with all parties involved very well coordinated, positive and enthusiastic. Everything was really professional right down to the food, alcohol, lighting, DJ, sound system, staging, green room, venue, judges and suppliers products were well represented. Friends and colleagues who attended were really surprised at the turn out and at how fun the event was. The fundraising effort was also out of this world for a very significant cause. Very Nasty Beats had a fantastic time at the choreographed rehearsals and fundraising within the office, complete with an in house dance off.

The event got a lot of exposure within the design industry, definitely looking forward to being involved again next year! Thanks to all (>_<)//.

Siren has taken part in two Dance for Life events and we have always felt we’ve got a lot out of it.

We see it as a real chance for us to give back to our community and especially to support worthwhile organisations who are really reaching out to those in need.

What an absolute blast we’ve had — it’s moments like that have brought our team even closer together.

When our choreographer walked us through our dance routine it blew our minds, but it’s just amazing how everything comes together and, on the night, the magic just happens and everyone is transformed! Incredible.
